Jack admitted to me this morning that he had stolen Ben’s new ball from him while he was at school.
But it was okay, he said, “because Ben’s at school, so he’ll never know.”
“True,” I said, “But you know, and I know, and God knows that you took the ball…” (A little guilt and self-awareness never hurt anybody.)
Unfortunately, Jack didn’t get quite where I was going with this, as he quickly responded, “That’s okay, mom! God won’t tell Ben!”
