I generally spend the entire second half of every year torturing my children (and myself) on a quest for the perfect Christmas card picture.
But someone is always looking away, or not cooperating, or sneezing, or blinking, or not cooperating.
Here are some of my failures this year:
Blurry and bad
Clear but worse.
Looking Down
Kissy Face
Feet on head and proud of it.
Maddie’s sliding out of the tree on this one.
Eyes closed.
Eyes closed.
Nope.
Wrong camera setting…my bad. Plus Ben looks constipated and Jack looks bored.
But I got two I liked this year. Two! Here are my finalists, which will both share the role of Christmas Card Photo-2009 (which one will arrive at your door???)
#1
Yeah, the boys both look a little goofy, but they’re good natural smiles, and I like it.
#2
Again, not perfect, but I like it.
Best of luck to you on your quest!

The troubles we go through for that perfect picture! I love reading your posts as I always feel they make us smile :)

What an adorable post and absolutely adorable children!
My kids are 21 and 24 so I have felt your pain, many times! Eventually you do come up with the perfect picture though...and you had two!
I'm sure your Christmas cards looked great!
So precious :) It's amazing how we can have hundreds of photos of our kids in 1 year but none where everyone looks right for a Christmas card :( You sure have 2 sweet photos here though :)
I think that shot is totally perfect! How beautiful. I can imagine how hard it must be to get just the right shot because I know how hard it is to take pictures of rambunctious boys!
Best wishes,
Natasha (and Stacey and Holly!)
I found you via Wendy!
