We’ve been a little grumpy lately. The kids have been getting on each other’s nerves and we’ve all been staying up too late and eating unhealthy stuff at picnics and we are bored with the pool and we are bored with everything and we have been laying around memorizing Spongebob lines all day and fighting about whose turn it is to hold Herbie.
I thought it might be helpful on this first day of August to share this photo taken back in February, almost 6 months ago…

I don’t know about you, but I feel so much better. Who can be grumpy when it looks like that outside instead of this…
A picture like that gives me courage to face another school-less, structure-less, peace-less day, soldier on and enjoy the sunshine and the lovely view while I can.
Don’t those flowers just look so nice?
